On Saturday, June 13, the ceremonial opening of the newly reconstructed Bertiny lázně (Berta’s Spa) in Třeboň took place. The spa complex, including a new dining hall, was repaired by the employees of the Division J – Bohemia in a record 9 months. As a result, the first patients can be treated here with the start of the new spa season.
The repairs of the Bertiny lázně complex included not only a reconstruction of the rooms, the restaurants and other spa areas including the procedures, but a completely new kitchen and a dining hall were built here. The extension to the building has a partially green roof with plants and the new kitchen has cutting-edge gastronomic equipment. There are also new glass elevators or modern suites.
During the opening ceremony, the auxiliary bishop of České Budějovice blessed the spa and the local healing moor. A local jazz band played in the gazebo of the spa park, and a tour of the reconstructed premises followed. The reconstruction of Bertiny lázně costing approximately 240 million crowns was financed by the municipality with Slatinné lázně Třeboň.
