The reconstruction and modernization of the wastewater treatment plant in the Slovenian town of Kranj was part of a large water management project abroad. We executed the construction with a local partner, Gorenjska gradbena družba. 85% of the project was funded by the European funds, the remainder was contributed by the city of Kranj. The aim of the project was to revitalize the environment in the city and the surrounding area, including the Sava River which was unsuitable for bathing until then.
During the construction of the wastewater treatment plant, 12,000 cubic meters of watertight concrete was used, technology equipment for almost 10 million EUR was installed, 6800 square meters of new roads were built and almost 7 km of utility networks were laid.
