The Blue Stage is part of the construction of the Academic Research and Educational Centre of Masaryk University in Brno. Eight new pavilions with a total usable floor area of 13,848 m2 will provide the university with a space for approximately 160 employees and more than 1,400 students. All buildings and adjacent area communications are barrier-free and equipped with a navigation system for the deaf.
Other components of the Blue Stage are the separate Z pavilion where the animal breeding and experimental facilities, the Energy Centre and the Information Centre with the central library and study rooms are located. The architectural singularity is the above-ground corridor linking the A16 pavilion with Bohunice University Hospital. Another original architectural structure is the steel glazed structure of the connecting bridge between the pavilions A10 and A36, leading above Kamenice Street which uses the reinforced concrete elements of the Energy Centre as supporting pillars. The bridge is not just a corridor linking the Blue and Yellow Campus stages but there is also a relaxing area with a café.
