On 1 April 2018, changes occurred in the management of OHL ŽS, a.s. belonging to the large international construction OHL group. Ing. Roman Kocúrek became the new CEO of the company and 1st Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Antonio Antonio Felices Romo was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors.
“Over the past two years, OHL ŽS, a.s. has been successfully restructured ensuring the company’s stability, competitive strength and good conditions for its future smooth operation. In the position of CEO, I would like to use my many years of experience and knowledge of the company to continue with the set trend and to achieve long-term goals. The contracted work will be very helpful in that effort, it amounted at the end of March 2018 to 12.5 billion CZK mainly in projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia,” commented Roman Kocúrek his appointment as CEO.
Roman Kocúrek has been working for OHL ŽS for 20 years, and since he started in the company in 1998, he has been on positions of the site manager, project manager, construction director and production deputy of the director of Plant Railways. On December 20, 2016, he was co-opted into the Board of Directors of the Company. With effect as from January 1, 2017, he became the production director of the company. As of 1 April 2018, he was elected Chief Executive Officer and 1st Vice-Chairman of OHL ŽS ŽS, a.s.
