Within this part of the project, 8 km of new sewers were constructed, parts of the existing sewage collection system were reconstructed and 210 service connections to houses were built. The sewage collection system includes an overflow with the mechanical pre-treatment of water, and a pumping station. The area of the original sewage treatment plant was reduced but a new technology enables the two-line operation of the plant and the connection of up to 2,200 EOs to it.
This part of the project included the construction of 14.812 m of new drain lines and 400 new service connections to houses. A new inverted siphon was constructed under the Radbuza River which enabled the parts of the city on the right bank to be connected to the sewage treatment plant.
The existing sewage treatment plant was reconstructed and equipped with new technology and its capacity was increased up to 3,500 equivalent persons.
Both structures are implemented under the Discharge and Treatment of Waste Water in the Drainage Area of the Radbuza River project, including the construction of a sewage treatment plant and sewage collection system for the catchment area with 37,000 inhabitants at the total value of CZK 860 million, co-financed from EU funds.
