Within the project 16.280 km of new sewers were constructed, 2 km of the original sewers were put back to operation, a new water main of the total length of 2.6 km was constructed and 800 households were connected to it.

The whole sewage collection system is executed as vacuum sewerage with profiles ranging from DN 50 to DN 200. The project includes 456 pits which are equipped with pumping technology. The sewers lead to a new sewage treatment plant with the capacity of 3,175 equivalent persons and a daily inflow of 634 m3 of waste water. The purification process is based on biotechnology and is implemented by the application of activated sludge and by aeration with blowers. After the purification process is completed, purified water is discharged into the watercourse.

The construction of this structure resulted in the improvement of living conditions not only in Štěpánov, but also in other locations as inhabitants of the surrounding villages are also connected to the sewage collection system.
