Reconstruction and Completion of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University, Brno

The construction project included the reconstruction of eight listed buildings where lecture rooms, laboratories, research spaces – “clean rooms” with a high class of cleanliness, classrooms, laboratory classrooms, offices and the technical base were implemented. Underground floors were rehabilitated and interior spaces, including all interior distributors were reconstructed in all the buildings. The heating & ventilation systems, cooling systems and structured cabling were newly constructed. The facades of all the buildings were repaired.

The new construction of the Information Centre and Library, which is an architectonic work making use of a steel and monolithic frame as well as the original walled frame, represents a substantial part of the contract. The original assembly hall is integrated into it and the whole structure is sheathed in glass.

The project also included the construction of the operational building of the Botanical Garden, execution of relocations, connections and new distribution systems for all services and pipelines within the grounds.
