The Surgery Pavilion is located in the premises of the Military Hospital in Olomouc. The objective of the reconstruction was to convert the original building dating back to 1909 into a modern surgical workplace. New pipelines for central heating and water distribution and sewage disposal were installed and wiring was fully replaced. The plaster, floor covering and tiling were replaced. The two operating theatres, the ICU and ARO wards and the premises of the central sterilization unit first underwent reconstruction and subsequently were equipped with modern medical technology. The existing passenger lift was reconditioned and the second lift was newly installed. The ward block of the hospital underwent complete modernization, including the change of its layout, which brings with it increased comfort for patients.
The reconstruction also included the construction of a new, wooden gatehouse, relocation of the oxygen station, the construction of a compressor plant, relocation of the telecommunication network and a service connection for the power line.
The whole project was completed with landscaping and hard surfacing of the areas surrounding the new building structures.
