The large city ring road in the Bauerova–Žabovřeská route is a part of the basic communication system (ZÁKOS Z-67) of the City of Brno, and concurrently also of the road network of the Czech Republic. The most significant building structures are roads.

They consist of so called communication branches of the large city ring road which are two- to four-lane roads at a length of 1160 m. The construction also includes the road in the Hlinky–Pisárecká streets. Another, no less important part of this road junction, is a tram line. The main structure is the new routing of the line itself, consisting of the grade separated crossing of the line with surface roads. A part of the line is routed through a 70 m long tram underpass where one tram stopping point is also located. The construction also includes bridge structures, of which the 318 m long bridge over the large city ring road made from a monolithic concrete girder system based on 1,200 mm piles is the dominant feature of the whole construction. The construction also comprises of bridges – the bridge over the tram underpass under the road, the bridge over the Svratka River, and the bridge over the Svratka -Kamenný mlýn. Yet another, no less important, part of the construction of the large city ring road is the technological segment, which deals, among other things, with forced ventilation of the tunnel, a system providing information on the traffic situation, emergency calls, electric safety signalling, etc. In the course of the whole construction period, the project was implemented under full operation.
