The subject of the contract is the complete construction of “Passage through the Děčín Railway Junction”, which belongs among the group of construction projects implemented as a part of the modernization and optimization of the network of selected corridors of Czech railways. From the point of view of international passenger and freight transport, the Děčín Railway Junction makes up a part of Transit Rail Corridor I (FRD-Děčín-Prague-Česká Třebová-Brno-Břeclav-Austria) and meets the following parameters:

  • increase of the track speed up to 100 km/h in two-way operation (up to 110 km/h for units with tilting wagon bodies) in an uninterrupted station segment from the 537.500 km mark to the 540.060 km mark,
  • achievement of UIC GC traffic clearance,
  • achievement of the UIC D4 track load class.

The reconstruction comprises of complex activities resulting in the increased comfort and safety of passengers, enhanced load-carrying capacity of the track, increased service life, efficiency and capacity of the railway station, which applies to all railway facilities related to fitting the railway station with platforms.

The work commenced at the 537.500 km mark and was completed at the 540.237 km mark, i.e. 2,737 m. In the Děčín Main Station premises, the work included the following locations: the freight depot, passenger railway station and the East Station, divided into 104 construction structures and 25 operational units.

The subject of the reconstruction of the main continuous double-tracked line and sidetracks, i.e. railway bed and track superstructure, level crossings, and also the reconstruction of bridges and culverts, overhead contact line, safety and communication facilities, cable lines, reconstruction of the passenger building including the area in front of the railway station, construction of new platforms, including barrier-free access (subway with lifts), construction of necessary technological objects to accommodate technological facilities, anti-noise measures and soft landscaping.
