Supply of the complete construction project “Electrification of the Rail Route Segment, including the Programme of Power Saving of the Ostrava Svinov Railway Station – the Opava East Railway Station” which belongs among the group of construction projects implemented as a part of the modernization and optimization of the network of selected corridors of Czech railways and meets the following parameters: increase of the track speed up to 100 km/h for traditional train units, achievement of UIC GC traffic clearance, and achievement of the UIC D4 track load class.

This line construction included modernization, pre-electrification adaptations as well as electrification, carried out on the single-tracked national railway – the Ostrava Svinov Railway Station – the Opava East Railway Station at the length of 28 km. The works comprised particularly of adaptations of the railway bed and track superstructure so that they would meet the required parameters. Related to this is also the reconstruction of bridges and culverts throughout the entire rail route segment. The reconstruction of the Opava East, Štítina and Háj ve Slezku Railway Stations has been completed. An island platform was constructed at the Opava East Railway Station, including a subway. New modern communication and safety facilities, including dispatching control devices, will enable remote control of traffic in the Ostrava Svinov Railway Station. Furthermore, a 22 kV-power-supply line, overhead contact lines of 3 kV direct traction systems and a switching station in Opava were constructed. Also the power technology and distributors, including the lighting of the stations and electric heating of switches, were modernized. The power supply for the safety facilities and electric heating of switches is provided by means of static converters from the overhead contact line. Waste management, material recycling (dumping of excessive soil), recycling of gravel ballast, cement and debris, dangerous waste (used wooden sleepers, locally contaminated gravel ballast in the area around switches) disposal. No ecological emergency occurred in the course of the construction.
