The through-road in the village of Tršice in the Olomouc Region was opened on 10 August. It is B-road no. 436 leading from Přerov to the north, in the direction of the R35 expressway. Its adjacent communications, pavements, lay-by spaces and bus parking lots as well as public lighting also underwent reconstruction. The reconstruction took thirteen months and the total costs amounted to CZK 34 million, including VAT. The investors of the project were the Regional Authority of the Olomouc Region and the Tršice Municipality, with aid provided from the Regional Operational Programme of the European Union. The contractor became the Transport Construction Branch of OHL ŽS, a.s.

Tršice, 10 August – Today, the through-road in the village of Tršice in the Olomouc Region was opened. It is B-road no. 436 leading from Přerov to the north, in the direction of the R35 expressway. The investor of the reconstruction was the Regional Authority of the Olomouc Region and the Tršice Municipality.
The reason why repairs were commenced was the inconvenient directional and altitudinal design and width layout of the original road. The reconstructed section starts in the direction of Doloplazy, behind the parking lot in front of the administrative building of the former agricultural cooperative, ending at the crossroads with the local communication behind the church in the direction of the village of Penčice. A part of the reconstructed through-road leads on the new route, a part on the local communication, and another part also on the route of the former II/436 road. The local communications were adapted according to the B-road parameters. Located in this section, there is also a bridge, the wearing surface and pavements of which have been reconstructed.
The adjacent local communications, pavements, bus parking lots and lay-by spaces as well as public lighting also underwent reconstruction. As a part of the reconstruction, also created were bus parking lots, lay-by spaces, and a new exit and entrance to the parking lot were constructed. Telecommunication cables and underground services were relocated. The municipality also obtained new green areas in front of the local church and school. “The reconstructed road will increase the quality of traffic, and thanks to the repaired pavements and public lighting the safety of pedestrians will also be considerably enhanced,” said Michal Štefl, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of OHL ŽS, a.s., today.
The reconstruction was launched in June last year and finished on 31 July 2009, in compliance with the set schedule. The investor of the road reconstruction, costing CZK 34 million,, including VAT, was the Regional Authority of the Olomouc Region, the investor of the reconstruction of pavements and public lighting at the amount exceeding CZK 3.15 million was the Tršice Municipality. The project was supported at the amount of CZK 31.4 million from the funds of the European Union under the Regional Operational Programme. The contract was implemented by the Transport Construction Branch of OHL ŽS, a.s. according to the project designed by HORSTAV Olomouc spol. s r.o.
