The Press Conference Given on the Occasion of the Visit to the IBF Fair Paid by the President of the OHL Group

On 27 April 2006, the third day of the International Building Fair (IBF), this unique Brno event was visited by one of the most significant representatives of the European industry and building sector, the President of the OHL Group, Mr. Juan-Miguel Villar Mir. Since 2003, the international construction section of OHL has also included OHL ŽS, a.s.

Since 2003, the international construction section of OHL has also included OHL ŽS, a.s.

In the morning visitors and guests invited to the company’s exhibition stand witnessed the press conference that was being held on the occasion of the visit paid by the President to the IBF.

After a short introduction by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of OHL ŽS, a.s., Michal Štefl, the floor was taken by Mr. Juan – Miguel Villar Mir. In his speech he spoke of both the past and the present of the OHL Group and the major lines of its business in four continents of the World. The major lines of business of the OHL Group include construction and franchise to operate infrastructures, construction of motorways, commercial ports, airports, and parking lots under licence, and in recent years, the Group has also entered such areas as water-management, ecological, municipal services, infrastructure and residential and non-residential construction. The company has all the prerequisites necessary for the successful implementation of all its projects. It makes use of the complete range of related activities. They include feasibility studies, engineering and project documentation, building, maintenance and subsequent operation of construction projects. Thanks to its financial resources, it also participates in analyses and contributes its share to the resources required for funding.

The President also explained the reasons behind the Group’s decision to purchase the acquisition represented by the capital investment in OHL ŽS, a.s. which is expected to further boost business expansion to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Juan – Miguel Villar Mir stated that he was satisfied with the results achieved by OHL ŽS, a.s. in 2005 and repeatedly pointed to the part played by the CEO,
Michal Štefl, in these achievements.

At the end of his speech, the President answered questions asked by invited journalists and praised the high standard of the construction fairs in Brno, which were fully comparable to other world events of a similar type. He did not forget to express his delight at the inventive and original design of the stand of OHL ŽS, a.s.

The pleasant atmosphere of the meeting was completed with the following invitation for a drink of Spanish sparkling wine and light entertainment which also included a huge cake with the new logo of OHL ŽS, a.s.

In the exclusive interviews given to representatives of some of the Czech media, the President Villar Mir repeatedly used this opportunity to wish OHL ŽS lots of momentum and its employees success both in their professional and personal life.
