On 22 June 2005, in lovely summer weather, top managers of our company met their business partners in the Konopiště Golf Resort.

The game of golf followed by pleasant interaction was certainly an opportunity to strengthen and furthermore deepen business relations, and perhaps also to understand partners. The unconventional environment also provided a background for establishing new relationships that are the driving force of the successful operation of any business.

The management of ŽS Brno, a. s. was represented by the CEO and executive directors; this event was also considered to be a convenient opportunity for meeting partners by the CEO of OHL for International Construction, Francisco Martin, whose participation doubtlessly contributed to increasing the prestige of the whole meeting.

In view of the fact that all the participants were trying to prove their knowledge and skills in golf, as well as in business matters, let’s commend the achievements of some of our employees in this area in particular:

• Josef Martinovský, Executive Director of the Surface Construction Branch, achieved a prestigious 2ndplace in the “Men, HCP 28.1 – 36” Category;
• Jan Navrátil, Director of the Construction Engineering Ostrava Division, took an excellent 4thplace in the same category;
• Tomáš Nossek, Director of the Construction Engineering Brno Division, pleased with his 2ndplace in the “Green Cards – Men” Category;

On 22 June, those who took awarded places in all announced categories received congratulations and prizes from the hands of CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ŽS Brno, a. s., Michal Štefl, CEO of OHL for International Construction, Francisco Maríno, President of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Evžen Tošenovský, and the Mayor of Ostrava, Aleš Zedník.
