With a view to the fact that ROADWARE is an international road fair ranking among the largest and most significant meetings in this field of operation due to its focus, scope and the response to it, representatives of ŽS Brno, a. s. were also present there.

ROADWARE is an international road fair that is regularly held at the end of spring in Prague. Its focus, scope and the response to it make it one of the largest and most significant meetings of experts in this field of operation.

This year was the 11th consecutive meeting of exhibitors from the group of companies operating their business in the area of development, reconstruction and maintenance of transport infrastructure and was held on 17 - 19 May with the participation of ŽS Brno, a. s., which is taken as a matter of course by our company,

ŽS Brno, a. s. together with the presentation of OHL thus ranked among the 93 top companies in this industry which visitors could get acquainted with in 72 expositions altogether, on an overall exhibition area of 1,411 m² at the Industrial Palace in the Prague Exhibition Grounds.

Both tried and trusted companies along with those newly established and taking part in the fair for the first time were to be found among the exhibitors. To name just a few of the exhibitors, we can mention for example the Road and Motorway Directorate of the CR, Třinecké železárny, a. s., SUDOP Praha, a. s. and Doprastav, a. s.

Traditionally, more than 30 % of visitors to the fair are representatives of investors and administrators of roads.

The topical issues of this 11thyear of the fair were electronic toll collection and PPP (Public Private Partnership) projects in the area of transport infrastructure. The fair was divided into 48 thematic categories, out of which an astounding 8 were covered by the content and scope of operations carried out by ŽS Brno, specifically transport engineering, underground services, bridges, surface construction, preparation of building projects and designing, implementation of transport construction, rehabilitation of constructions and structures & reconstruction of transport construction.

The stand of ŽS Brno and OHL, designed in traditional colours (yellow and blue), was a pleasant place for business meetings of representatives of our company with partners and investors; let us mention for example Pavel Švagr, Director of the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure.

As a follow-up event to all the meetings in the area of road construction, the 13thyear of the Road Conference will be held in October.
