The objective of the reclamation of the Pokrok VI waste rock disposal area is to erase the devastating consequences of mining activities in the area, to re-cultivate agricultural and woodland and to integrate the reclaimed area into the ecological system of the location.
In the course of the project, the reclamation of agricultural land, forests and other sites of the total area of 83.43 ha was carried out. The reclaimed area is closely connected to the south part of the city of Duchcov, and so the whole area was designed with a view to the possibility of its future use for the recreational and sporting needs of its inhabitants.
