The collector belongs among the primary circuit of the city collector network and runs at a depth of 35 m below the surface.

The collector is 190 m long and its section is about 24 m2. The driving was performed by means of a new Austrian tunnelling method and took six months. During the construction, 7500 m3 of rock, comprising mainly of clay of solid to hard consistency, was excavated from underground. 85 t of steel support and 925 m3 of sprayed concrete in total were built into the primary jamb.

The secondary jamb comprises of the bottom part and side abutments made of cast water-construction concrete and the upper vault of sprayed concrete with admixture of the Xypex crystalline formation securing the water imperviousness of the construction. Subsequently, the collector was equipped with steel constructions, lighting and socket distribution systems, automated control system, operational distributors of heavy current and heat and ventilation facilities.

The other part of the project was the construction of the Teplárna shaft. The shaft built by means of sunken well technology has a diameter of 3 m and at the depth of 17 m connects to the existing collector through a 30 m long access collector.
