OHL Concessions began its activity at the Toluca International Airport (TIA) in 2006 with a huge operating project that included a concession to operate all airport services and any complementary/commercial services for a 50-year term.
The concessionaire in charge of operating the airport is Administradora Mexiquense del Aeropuerto International de Toluca (AMAIT). The airport is close to Mexico's capital city and registers an annual traffic flow of three million passengers.
TIA belongs to the Metropolitan Airport System. After it is consolidated, this System will double its capacity for passenger transport to up to 60 million passengers a year. This growth will be mainly absorbed by the Toluca International Airport, which will manage the same number of passengers as the International Airport of Mexico City.
